Goodnight Moon

Over the last two weeks, Ava has taken to inspecting the

fragile and delicate items on the dresser in her closet before

she'll go to bed. This photo is shot from behind her; you

can just see the outline of her cheek, hair (of course), and

head as she says goodnight to her treasures.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub

our bedroom window Saturday morning....

Miss Independent

Over the last two weeks, Ava has decided

she's had it with rice cereal & pureed veggies.

Only finger food for this girl. Grandma Vinje

said that Ava is a girl after her own heart.

This recent coup has made dinner take much

longer, but it's so fun to watch her feed herself

& interact. Ava's favorites this week have been

Plantation Stew (a Weets household staple),

Chicken Noodle hotdish at daycare, Cinammon-

Raisin bagels, avocado, blueberries, blueberries,

blueberries, &, of course, yogurt.

She also has a strong affinity for Twizzlers used

as teethers (these are only infrequent & under

strict supervisionfrom Mom & Dad, but it is her

idiosyncrasy) & she's also been noticing us

drinking out of Mt. Dew & Pepsi cans.

Hmm, how do I get one of those?

A Great Day for Sledding

Mommy & Ava


It finally warmed up on Saturday so
that Ava could use her sled. The alley
behind our house was perfect, although
we weren't out long due a pretty good
westerly wind on our way back. It was
fun to get out & Ava loves her sled. Don't
you love the Fargo hat?
